Positive Exposure :: Project/Exhibition

This is an exhibition project Dick had been working on with Simon Lee and John Smythe. (see the project notes below for more info)

Many of Dick's main images from the exhibition/project can be seen here.

As Simon announced at Newtons after the funeral, the first showing was held at Smythe Dorward Lambert in The Strand on Wednesday 11 December.

Simon and John Smythe (who was also a close friend of Dick's, although unable to attend the funeral) have kindly invited everyone who came to the funeral to view the exhibition either during a special viewing period, or at the company party which follows. Here are the details:

Date: Wednesday 11 December 2002
At: Smythe Dorward Lambert, 85 The Strand, London WC2

(nearest tubes are Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Leicester Square)

Simon Lee and John Smythe are inviting you to this party as an alternative to the earlier special preview (see the party invitation below).

Invitation
SMYTHE DORWARD LAMBERT'S
CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

Smythe Dorward Lambert invites you (plus a colleague or friend)
to their 'Christmas party with a purpose'
in support of the homeless project - Positive Exposure.

11 December, 6.30 - 8.00 pm

Smythe Dorward Lambert, 85 Strand, London, WC2

Positive Exposure is a thought provoking study aimed at giving the homeless an opportunity to portray themselves as people, as opposed to the stereotypes that we so often see. The project has produced a catalogue of 120 black and white portraits of the homeless, photographed by Dick Scott-Stewart. Each portrait is accompanied by the subject's personal story and will be displayed at a series of free events in London.

Smythe Dorward Lambert is hosting a Christmas pre-launch party for the project with a sample of the exhibition here in our offices to help promote this cause. It will be an informal evening for our clients and friends over a glass of wine.

If you would like to come please send us an email with your name, company and contact details to events@smythe.co.uk
